The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta actions in the recent times has not really spoken the truth of the Niger Delta predicament and the way to really go about it.
At the moment , we Niger Deltans are in serious war or battle rather to take over the position of the Presidency and all we see everyday is some fellas who are been paid and used by some of the nothern maffia fellas to cause comotion all over the country ranging from bomb blasts to terrorism activities. And the chiefs and alhajis they bow to everyday to carryout these evil acts have ruled this country for about forty years, yet , we still remain in the state of ever neglect. They have never for once do anything to really better the lot of the Niger Delta region if not for God who has been helping us. So, why must our bona fide Youths continue to yield so easily to the temptation of collecting money from them to unleash evil on their fellow humans. Our Youths in MEND must change. Enough of the bad name they have succeeded in giving to the Niger Delta Region.
If the leadership of MEND has old scores to settle with President Goodluck Jonathan, it doesn't has to be now, and there is a way to go about it - dialogue. He is now the President of Nigeria, our SON in the peak position of power. We must support him now and not destroy him, he is there by God's making. Let's not do the worst mistakes that would render Niger Delta in total fiasco tomorrow. Let's take the mantle now that it is on us.
The Nothern Youths movement are already planning a consensus candidate , and they really mean business from my recent observation. However, all their candidates put together do not really measure up to our own SON and BROTHER worldwide supports. So why do we want to quash the opportunity God has given us? Nigeria's concensus candidate for 2011 presidency is Dr. Goodluck Jonathan - PDP 2011. I support him not because he has given me money or any grants but out of better brotherhood and wonder of Godliness in his life. Please, follow me.
The recent attacks on AGIP oil stations in our own BAYELSA state is highly condemned. Such actions should be put away forever, please. It is grossly evil, and may our sons never again allow themselves to be used for any violence, ever.
Whatever be the reasons for disagreements between MEND and the GOVERNMENT should be put away. Let's forgive and move on. We will all be blessed in real times. Niger Delta shall make it by God's grace.
