efcc and cbn.
« on: August 29, 2009, 10:39:49 AM »
while im not in support of the way the five banks that are currently under fire ve handled the money of depositors,im also not happy about the treatment being meted out to both the bank executives and there customers.they are being hounded and treated as criminals by the efcc, since when is it a crime to gain access to loans from banks?and once again the efcc has acted in bad faith by not promptly obeying court s...its high time we told ourself the truth, cbn is a regulatory body and the efcc is not A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION...wat a mess.

The problem with Efcc is that they always treat suspects like convicts. they intimidate, molest, man handle them among other means. It is bad. the rule of law should be allowed to take its full course. We are ashamed to be confronted by our western friends on the poor level of Nigeria's human right treatments

i think farida waziri summarize the whole efcc drama when she said nuhu ribadu could only get three conviction during his tenure after arresting and embarrasing almost every suspected corrupt polititian in the country,it should be noted that most of the cases that the court threw out were because of no following due process in prosecuting suspecs.the new efcc chairperson has failed to learn from the mistakes of her predecessors.
